Volunteers are an important part of any tutoring program and can often contribute to its success or failure. When you consider that there are 24 hours in a day, a 1-2 hour commitment each week seems like a small sacrifice to help shape the future of our children. During orientation volunteers receive training and are matched with opportunities that highlight their strengths to give them the best opportunity to succeed. In keeping with the laws of each State, during orientation all volunteers must be willing to submit to a background check.
Youth learn in a variety of different ways but one of the most impactful wasy is by watching people they love and respect. You may remember a time in your life when someone had a positive influence on you. When you think back, that simple suggestion or word of encouragement may have been just the support you needed to help you along the way. People like you, giving back a little but making a big difference in a child's life. Remember children can't choose the environments they grow up in but you can choose to make a positive difference in a child's life. Need more information? Contact us, we are here to help.
Are you concerned you won't know enough? Well have no fear! You don’t have to be smarter than a fifth grader to volunteer, you just need to have a heart willing to serve and we will provide the rest. When you invest in the future of a child you will not only change their life for the better, but this experience will also change your life for the better too. Need more information?
