Scholarships
We know students need support reaching their educational and career goals. Rebecca’s Garden of Hope invites you to gift “Gap Funds” to help us offer support to bridge the gap for students trying to make it to that “Next level” in their life journey. Your generosity can provide additional resources students need, to reach their full potential. Whether they need $50 for a college care package, $100 to buy books, $1000 for a deposit for an off campus apartment (because they weren’t able to get dorm housing), or even monies to cover their last year of school, we want to stand in the gap for these students to help them get to that “Next Level” in their lives. Students from underserved communities deal with unbelievable challenges that can sometimes dash their hopes and dreams. Gap Funds help us stand in the gap when they need some additional support along the way, another way to show they are not alone. It takes the generosity from donors like you to provide this level of support. No donation is too small, and we thank you, in advance for your kindness and compassion. Please list on the “Give” page details about the specific purpose for your donation and we thank you in advance for your continued support.
Food Desert
Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes children should never have to go without a healthy meal, however there are youth that go to bed hungry, every night. Our fundraising efforts include trying to address that issue for as many children as possible by trying to cover groceries and other necessities for the week, month, or year. Even with regular assistance from food pantries or SNAP children’s basic food needs can sometimes fall through the cracks. Holiday meals are great but buying groceries for students when they say they are hungry at any time throughout the year is a level of support we hope we can provide on a consistent basis. Sponsors are welcome to give a gift of $25-$30/family to cover the cost of food options listed below for a family of 4-6. (Meals will be offered as requested). Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes children eat all year long but because of choices they didn’t make they are punished and go without on a regular basis. Our goal is to have funds available to cover basic food needs throughout the year. We are confident this level of support can improve a student’s outcome and give them the best opportunity to succeed. Children who eat regularly become more attentive, focused, and engaged in school and also show improvements in other aspects of their lives. We are confident this level of support can change the trajectory of a student’s life. Please list on the “Give” page details about the specific purpose for your donation and we thank you in advance for your continued support.
Basic food bags to cover a family of 4 might include (Food delivered as needed, throughout the year.):
Rice, spaghetti, beans, box of macaroni and cheese, vegetables, fruit, turkey, chicken, sandwich meat, bread, and condiments (gift card to cover the meat)
Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Meal Bags & Boxes
Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes children eat all year long, but it can be extra special to give them an opportunity to enjoy a special meal over the holidays. Even with assistance from food pantries and SNAP, sometimes it is difficult for parents to make ends meet, especially during the holidays. These “Holiday boxes” include the following items listed below and will be provided 1 week before Thanksgiving or Christmas. On average we can keep the cost around $27-$35 per family without a turkey or ham, depending on the size of the family. Sponsors are welcome to give a gift of $25 to cover the cost of a large turkey for a family of 4 (only) or donate $55-$65 to sponsor a complete “Holiday Meal Box” for a family of 4. (Meal boxes include items listed below and will be purchased and delivered a day before the holiday). Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes children eat all year long but because sometimes their basic food needs are not being met, we would like to continue raising funds to cover the basic food needs of youth who may slip through the cracks. This challenge can sometimes occur weekly, monthly or throughout the year, so we want to have resources in place to assist when needed. Additional food prices may vary so food options listed below are subject to change based on availability. We are confident this can give students another layer of needed support during an important time in their lives. Every gift means food for someone who, at some point may have gone without. Please list on the “Give” page details about the specific purpose for your donation and we thank you in advance for your continued support.

Personal Hygiene Kits
Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes personal hygiene kits contain items for basic needs that many students don’t have access to on a regular basis. For that reason, this kit will provide access to items that all youth need throughout the year. The following might be included in kits:
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, combs, brushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, sanitary products, body wipes, emery board, and a small first aid kit. We are able to either offer supplies, supplies with a carry packet, or other specific necessities requested by students. (Examples: incontinence pads, feminine pads, and other personal undergarments.) The cost of supplies could range between $10-$25 and may be replenished every 3-6 months depending on need. Additional requested supply prices may vary as students make individual requests, throughout the year. Fact: some children have never brushed their teeth, and some don’t know to change their toothbrushes every 3 month. They may not have soap and deodorant for a variety of different reasons, usually no fault of their own. We are confident this level of support gives students access to needed items that will improve their quality of life. Please list on the “Give” page details about the specific purpose for your donation and we thank you in advance for your continued support.
School Supplies
Rebecca’s Garden of Hope believes School Supplies are a basic need for all youth throughout the year, regardless of in-person or online learning. With your donations we are able to either offer back- to-school supplies to include a backpack for students in need, or replenishment supplies throughout the year, offer backpacks only, or provide other needed supplies requested by students. (Examples of requests may include but are not limited to: Calculator, protractor, ruler, scissors, color pencils, hand sanitizer, tape, markers, highlighters, pencils, paper, binders, etc.) The average cost of supplies can range between $5-$15 per student and may be replenished on a regular basis, every 3-6 months depending on need. The cost of book bags may range between $35-$55 and some may need to be replenished as they are worn, lost, or stolen. Additional school supply prices may vary as requests for or from students are made and need is determined. We are confident this level of support can give students the tools necessary to succeed, throughout the entire academic school year. Please list on the “Give” page details about the specific purpose for your donation and we thank you in advance for your continued support.
